In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Currie Technologies has announced a voluntary recall of the Tricruiser Electric Powered Adult Tricycle. It has been found that on some models, the rear axle can break, causing the rear wheel to detach, and posing a fall hazard to the rider.

All consumers should stop riding these electric tricycles immediately and contact Currie Technologies for a free replacement component and repair.


Description of electric tricycle models included on the recall list:
    
  • eZip or IZIP brands printed on the sides of the bike and above the front wheel
  • Bikes sold in the following colors: red, blue and sand.
  • Recalled tricycles have a serial number range from ACB06L00001 to ACB10H99999 (serial numbers are engraved on the frame under the handlebar support on the front of the tricycle)
  • Recalled tricycle model numbers include EZ-TRY-SD, IZ-TRY-RD, IZ-TRICR7-BL and IZ-TRY8-BL.
  • Recalled tricycles were sold at independent bicycle shops and e-bike shops nationwide, and on Walmart.com, Amazon.com and other retailers from March 2007 through March 2012 for $850-$1120.



By filling out the form below, consumers of the Tricruiser Electric Powered Adult Tricycle will receive a free replacement Rear Sub Assembly. Please fill out every section on the information below to receive your free replacement and repair.
