Wiring repair
Crimping
- Strip the end of the wire to be crimped
- SM connectors: about 1mm
- 2.8 & 6.3 connectors: about 3.5mm
- Load the connector into the crimping tool as shown in the center photo
- Push the wire into the terminal. The end of the stripped section should not protrude past the jaws of the tool
- Crimp the terminal by closing the tool fully. If the wire is still loose in the terminal, move it to a smaller groove in the tool and re-crimp.
