The new Via Lento may just be the perfect recreational bicycle. It's designed to alleviate all of the things that you may dislike about bike riding. Its comfortable position relieves stress on arms, back and derriere. By simply twisting the throttle, it pulls you up hills effortlessly. And with its forward pedal design, when you come to a stop, you can comfortably rest your foot flat on the ground without any balancing act. Simply put, the Via Lento delivers "all the pleasure of cycling, with none of the pain".
 

The Via Lento is equipped with a powerful Currie Electro-Drive® system that provides plenty of torque to pull you up a long hill or through a headwind. Powered by a sealed lead acid (SLA) battery pack that can easily be removed for charging or swapping, the Via Lento can travel 15-22 miles with normal pedaling or about 10-15 miles with no pedaling at all, at speeds of 15+ mph. You can easily double that range by adding an optional second battery pack in the slot provided on the rear rack.

Allows users to select between two platforms.

1.PAS Mode:Pedaling w/o throttle gives 50% of available power assist, conserving the battery. Pedaling while Activating Throttle iallows user to go from 50% to full power or anywhere in between.

 2.TAG Mode: No pedaling required, just throttle from 0% to 100% power

• 24V / 10Ah Rack Mounted SLA Rechargeable Battery Pack.
• The Advantage: Rider can easily  remove battery and add a second pack for extended range.
• The Benefit: Easy to detach from bike when locking outside or transporting (to reduce weight).  Carry inside to recharge.
